Quicksilver Mercury Detox: My First Three Months

IMDDay 1

Last night I took ½ scoop of IMD with two grams of Vitamin C. This morning I took one Clear Way capsule. I am starting low and slow. So far so good. I plan to do the five days on two days off program for now, gradually working up to one full scoop. On Monday I will order the etheric Vitamin C and the Etheric Glutathione which I know are huge aids in this protocol. And I’ll find out from Mountain Health about what they recommend I do to address the parasites I know I have. Last time I took artemesinin and it did do its thing. I know you need to ‘beat back the explosion’ of microbes simultaneously with getting rid of the mercury with the IMD.

Day 2

Last night I took a half scoop of IMD with a one gram capsule of vitamin C. This morning I took one ClearWay capsule. Yesterday and today I had a couple of drops of the trace minerals in water. The bottle dosage says 8 drops but if I overdo certain minerals like zinc and selenium I sometimes regret it due to what I think are mercury mobilization symptoms, like depression. Again, so far, so good. I read in my diary from last year, when I was doing the IMD protocol with the glutathione and etheric vitamin C and the ClearWay, that I was beginning to feel good. My stiffness was going, I had energy, I didn’t feel retox symptoms from mercury mobilizing….and so why did I stop?! I wanted to try Modifilan, and all those Quicksilver supplements are expensive. No matter. I have more experience going at this a second time around. And that’s what this site is about – helping ourselves through the sharing of experience.

Quicksilver Month 3 Protocol

Quicksilver Month 3 Protocol

So what are my symptoms? Stiff joints, stiff neck, stiff and painful left middle finger that won’t bend, joints that pop and crack so that when I teach a yoga class and everyone’s in Final Relaxation and I lie down to join them, you can hear my knees crack and sometimes a hip or two. Also, my memory’s been poor for many, many years, I have scoliosis, and I tend towards constipation (luckily Dr. Miller’s Holy Tea always helps). I do not recommend detoxing metals or anything else unless your bowel movements are moving at least twice a day.  The tea helps with this amazingly well.

It’s good to keep a journal because when I check back I see that I had various stiff and painful body parts that are completely different than the ones I have now. Stuff moves. Lyme Disease people are especially aware of this. I was told I had Borelia (the Lyme bacteria) by my electrodermal screening doctor. And of course this video shows spirochetes in my blood. And last year when I took the IMD protocol, I was also on high doses of sea salt and vitamin C (the Salt/C Plus protocol) for Lyme.  So I was going at it from all angles, including  artemesinin for parasites. And I was starting to feel good. The tea was quite necessary to cleanse so much.

Day 3

Same deal. ½ scoop of IMD last night. But I took ClearWay Cofactors twice today. One capsule in the am, and one before dinner. I watched the fifth and final webinar video where Dr. Chris Shade explains the dosages of the products, and in the beginning he likes to see people taking 2-3 capsules of ClearWay when they start, moving up to 6-8 per day. ClearWay is a “proprietary blend of phytoextracted polyphenolic antioxidants, R-Lipoic Acid (RLA), targeted vitamins (B1, B5, B6), selenium, kelp extract and high-potency Lumbrokinase designed to maximize metal detoxification pathways.”

Clear Way Cofactors

Clear Way Cofactors

The bigger news is the effect that one day’s worth of Dr. Miller’s Holy Tea – now that I’m back on it after not having drunk it for months – has on my body. Very nice help with getting rid of stuff. Some of which I’d take a picture of and post but can’t bring myself to do that online yet. Just know that the tea gets to work.

Check out the Shade videos. In one of them, he mentions how in the first few days of treatment with the IMD, Clear Way, etheric glutathione and vitamin C and others, patients can’t tell where they are. In the fourth and fifth days then you will likely know if the dose is too much or not. I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’ve got to get that C and glutathione though. They are major players in the protocol.

Days 4 and 5

Both nights I took a half scoop of IMD. On Day 4 I took two Clear Ways, spaced apart. Then that night I woke up around 3am and had trouble falling back to sleep, even after eating something. So Day 5 found me going back to one Clear Way.

I’m now on an ‘Off’ day. The protocol is five days on, two days off. Tomorrow my etheric Vitamin C with R-Lipoic Acid will arrive, as well as the Etheric Glutathione. These I used when I did the protocol last year and they seemed to help me feel better. But I didn’t feel bad!

This time around I will also be adding the Quinton products to the mix. I’ll take the Quinton Isotonic during the On days, and Hypertonic on the Off to remineralize. Chris Shade says that high mineral doses stop the runaway fatigue that can often accompany mercury detox. Starting slow is best. And also important is getting to a high enough dosage when ready to flush deeply – perhaps a few months into the program.

My Quicksilver Mercury Test

My Quicksilver Mercury Test

With the IMD you can take three months to get up to the three scoops per day. This is my plan.

I am feeling better than a week ago. Some of this is due to my stopping the Dr. Clark Kidney Cleanse I was on last week. Did it stir up metals? Were the herbs contaminated by metals? Who knows, but the cleanse was making me feel worse rather than better so I stopped. My mood is good, so is my energy, my body overall feels a bit looser. Dr. Miller’s Holy Tea is also a factor in this I’m sure. Get that waste out of there, people! Some people think it’s okay to go once every two days. I am here to tell you that I am not one of those people.

More to come as I move forward with the Quicksilver Detox rounds.

Day 6

Feel fine.

Day 7

The Quinton and liposomal products came so I took one ampuole of the Hypertonic – since it was an ‘Off’ day – and I got pretty fatigued later in the day. I took two pumps of the etheric Vitamin C/R-Lipoic Acid to see if it would take away some of the tiredness, but no go. Will go to sleep early tonight. Rest is where it’s at.

Round 2, Day 2

Itchy bump between two fingers on right hand near the web, same for two toes, and an elbow. Pulling sensation in upper right tooth and lower left. IMD binds with metals in the gut, and tissues release mercury into the blood. So maybe that’s what I’m feeling? This same phenomenon happened on the Andy Cutler protocol a few years ago.

I am hungrier for food! Just ate a bowl of chili and hour ago and my stomach is rumbling for more.

The range of motion in my neck is pretty bad.

Round 2, Day 4

More stiffness – along right arm, and third right knuckle. Neck has no range of motion because it’s so stiff.

Round 2, Day 5

Tired after a few hours after IMD dose of one scoop. So I’m drinking more caffeine! Dr. Miller’s tea is so helpful. Line of muscles that go through upper right arm through shoulder is not right.

On Shade’s ‘beat back the explosion (of pathogens that happens when you detox metals)’ thing: I am back up to 4 grams of salt and C but perhaps I should start up the wormwood capsules I have. I’d buy Quicksilver’s Artemisinin if it weren’t for low funds.

Slept fantastically last night, stiff neck and all.

Later this same day: Ate homemade yogurt with apples, coconut shreds, blueberries before bed. It was delicious, but I woke up 3:30 AM with my mind racing, body parts all tense. Strong probiotics = mercury release? This has certainly been my experience many many times over the years. Perhaps there’s another explanation but that’s how it appears.

Round 2, Day 6

An ‘off’ day, for remineralizing (which I’m not doing because I don’t have the macrominerals, only some trace minerals). I am tired and I couldn’t play checkers with my 10 year old! Couldn’t concentrate or keep up mentally.  I accept these things when they happen. I know they are temporary, and the best way to handle them is to laugh a little bit at the craziness.

Round 3, Day 3

So stiff, especially in morning. Neck, legs, feet swollen in am so I walk gingerly for the fist 5 minutes. My goodness! Wonder if it’s a happy mix of b. burgdorferi, mercury, parasites, yeast, and who knows what else! Have worked up to 4 grams of salt and Vitamin C. Am waiting for the full moon on August 10. A good rule of thumb is to take anti-parasitics for the five days before the full moon, and the five days after. This is my plan.

Am getting low on my first bottle of Etheric Vitamin C.

Round 3 Day 4

A bit down, tired…have had no beneficial effects yet from this protocol. But it is early on.

Round 3, Day 5

I have added organic sulfur. It helps with elimination along with the Dr. Miller’s tea. I haven’t slept well for the last three nights. I am glad tomorrow is an ‘off’ day. I will be taking Quinton Hypertonic to remineralize in this so-called parasympathetic state.

Finger joint still swollen. Memory is terrible. Maybe that’s a good sign, meaning my  brain has clearly been affected by the Hg and will improve as the mercury leaves.

the products I'm using

the products I’m using

Round 3, Day 7

Today I ate French fries at Friendly’s ( I was on the road and had little food to choose from), and now a few hours later I am stiff stiff stiff from the nightshades. What have we learned from Shade? Increased inflammation = decreased detox ability. So I’m still feeling stiff tomorrow, I’ll hold off on beginning Round 4 on IMD.

Round 4, Day 2

Stiff left middle finger, can’t bend it. Whole body is stiff. Lots of rain lately. Milk and ice cream causing stiffness? Hard to tell. IMD makes me a bit tired but not too bad. Tonight ate salmon because my aunt brought it from many miles away. Will take IMD tonight instead of in the morning as usual. That’s supposed to help with the fatigue as well.

Round 4, Days 3-5

I took the one scoop of IMD with the three pumps of Etheric C before bed. That worked well so that I didn’t feel the fatigue in the day. Slept pretty well each night. Have been trying out Original Strength before bed to ‘reset’ and perhaps that also helps.

I wake up pretty stiff, including soles of feet. Once I get moving it goes away. My Lyme friend said that this is a symptom of bartonella.

Between rounds 4 and 5

‘Venting’ for me is a thing of the past. Except for this moment now. I am cold a lot. Tonight I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and felt quite disconnected from everyone in there. Overweight, scrolling through their smart phones without making conversation with each other, wearing t-shirts in the 71 degree room while I had four layers on. It’s August. Don’t know why tonight I was so cold especially. I have taken three grams of salt and three grams of vitamin C, but I’ve been doing this for a while now as part of my Lyme Salt/C protocol (I used to take 10 per day).

I was able to take a hot bath and warm up after dinner, and of course the cold aversion did not prevent me from eating ice cream after my burger (remember how I wrote about the Ray Peat diet?), but it does concern me. I’m cold, my neck is so stiff, my joints are stiff and pop, a few of my fingers knuckles are stiff and swollen, my memory is just terrible, my left hip is jammed up so that I stand and sit a bit crooked. I think I have a cavity in my upper right molar, and I keep forgetting to carry around raw garlic so I can chew on it with that tooth. Oh, and my jaw is out of alignment. And I’m missing various teeth. However…..I’m still a very nice person.

And, I am weird. You, my reader, will probably identify with my rantings, but there were more than a hundred people in that Wild Wings restaurant who would not. I am weird because I don’t take any medications, but I talk about these various complaints, and choose natural healing methods for them.

Which brings me back to mercury and my IMD rounds. When I return home next week I will begin Round 5. I feel good about doing this metals detox. I like Chris Shade. I believe his testing and products have helped many. He would tell me to keep at it. A month of IMD does not take away problems caused or exacerbated by 20 years of metal toxicity.

Round 5, Day 1

I took about a week between the last round and this round because I went out of town. So last night I took a scant 2 scoops of IMD (sort of like 1.8 scoops roughly) with the etheric Vitamin C. This am I took  the Etheric Vitamin C in water, then 15 minutes later the Etheric Glutathione and 3 ClearWay Cofactors. Today I’ve had much much energy.  I became warm too, thinking several times – checking the thermostat to see if it had been raised, but nope, I was just warmer. Like people with normal hormone production, I think!

I am really glad to be doing this. I am putting in another order for more IMD, Etheric Vitamin C, Clear Way Cofactors, Etheric Glutathione,  Rentone for my kidneys, and Pure Encapsultaions Minerals 650, which Quicksilver also recommends. $450. Mucho dinero. But I asked the woman on the phone at Mountain Health Products: “Have you heard people benefitting from the Quicksilver Detox protocol?” And she said quite convincingly, that it has been life-changing for some people. If it does what it’s supposed to do, I am not surprised.

Round 5, Day 2

Took  about 1.7 scoops  last night.  This morning, slight headache. Took my C, glutathione, Clear Way as all prescribed. Then wondered if I should take 2 more Clear Way since I believe Chris Shade says take 2 per one IMD scoop.

He also says that it takes about 3-5 days on the IMD before you start to feel the effects of the mobilization and release. So you don’t know until then if you are taking too much or too little. I have a feeling I’m pushing it a little with the more than one scoop dosage during this second month of the protocol but I am going with it. But the tea is a must to help move things out. Have I mentioned the tea yet.

Round 5, Day 3

Last night took the same 1.8 or so scoops. Didn’t sleep well last night, mild headache. But I actually think it was due to the Synergy Kombucha I drank that evening. Not a lot, like ¾ cup, but that stuff is strong.

Took 4 Clear Way this am (2 per scoop) and had great energy today, only to wind down in the late afternoon, which makes sense because I didn’t get much sleep. I had no headache today. I think this dose is fine for me.

Stiff though. I sit in one place for too long then when I get up it feels like I did a major exercise workout yesterday but I didn’t. This detox might be making that worse. Or it’s dairy. Still can’t figure that one out. Love cheese though. And milk. Acturally I think it’s the milk perhaps. Stiffness started after my milk/coconut milk/banana/peach/almond butter shake (and we know what Ray Peat would say about the almond butter!).

Round 5, Day 4

Things going quite well. Took almost 2 full scoops of IMD last night. Slept great. I sleep well if I do the Original Strength exercises and put castor oil in my eyes right before bed. I know, I’m weird.

I have realized something very cool. I seem to be less sensitive to the iPhone radiation. I went on a long road trip last week and I was able to have the iPhone play google Maps and Pandora and my head didn’t feel it like it usually does. I do have a steel rod fused to my spine so this is what probably made me more sensitive to emr (electromagnetic radiation).

Took 4 capsules of Clear Way in the am and in the afternoon. Good energy all day. A bit of  a poorer memory though. Probably stuff moving around.

Round 5, Day 5

So that sums it up for Round 5, which was the beginning of Month 2 for me. That lessened iPhone sensitivity is pretty cool. My body is straightening out too, but that’s mostly due to Egoscue and the Tower and Original Strength exercises. My middle finger knuckles are still stiff when I bend them, and my muscles still a bit stiff. Perhaps the peanut butter chocolate ice cream I ate last night plays a role. Haven’t done gluten for many years though.

Two days after Round 5 (Day  before Round 6)

Today’s an off day. My Mineral 650 came so I took that today. I think it has caused a bit of fatigue. 25 mg of zinc  is a lot for this Hg-toxic lady (in a 6 capsule serving). But I’ll get used to it, I have in the past.  Mercury has something like 1000 times affinity for zinc receptors or however it works. I’ve read and heard it a million times but can I repeat it to you now? Not yet! Maybe after  a few more IMD rounds…The Quicksilver protocol calls for SIX of these mineral supps on off days. Two during on days.

Round 6 Day 1

I am off to a good start on Round 6, my sixth week into this metals detox thing with IMD by Quicksilver Scientific. I am following their Month #2 protocol. But I am using two scoops instead of one, call me crazy. I make sure to take four Clear Way capsules in the am since I’m taking two scoops, and two in the afternoon. To the right is what I’m following.

I am now taking the IMD in the am, just to make it easier to follow the sup timing on the sheet. It didn’t make me tired today. I did take two of the Minerals 650, and did okay, although as I taught my yoga class my back sort of started hurting and I couldn’t move around much. But  I have been doing the Egoscue Tower and also Original Strength, trying to get my torso back more, and that is working. So I think my mid back muscles are just responding to this.

So, with all the supps I am doing fine. Sometimes it works well when you keep it simple, and follow the directions that have been laid out for you.

Round 6, Day 2

Two scoops of IMD today, plus all the other stuff. I’m doing okay on it all, but this afternoon I got super tired and almost fell asleep while doing Egoscue on the floor. Neck is stiff, but body feels better and less stiff, even with ice cream this morning. Also, during my yoga classes I haven’t heard my knees crack when I lie down for savasana. This would be a nice change as yoga teachers aren’t supposed to be terribly creaky.

Round 6, Day 7 – off day

Well my body feels noticeably less stiff. But I don’t attribute this to the QS protocol. I think it’s the two days of turpentine I’ve done. Yes, turpentine. Commit me. One teaspoon poured over a few sugar cubes. Turpentine stuns parasites, and good bacteria as well, and then the immune system can get a handle on who to send to the toilet and who to let come back to doing its job. I was singing to Frank Sinatra in the car earlier today. Turpentine is making me feel good.

Interesting to think that parasites were/are causing my body stiffness. I have taken various things to get at them over the years off and on. I”ve known for a long time that they have been with me, and I’ve seen them on countless occasions as they exit. Hulda Clark was one smart cookie.

Tomorrow I’ll start on my Round 7 of IMD. I now do the rounds with two scoops of IMD, as you know. It’s only my second month but I’ve skipped ahead to Month 3’s dosing schedule. I am doing fine.  My decreased sensitivity to the iPhone continues.

Parasites and metals. Get both of them out. Poo lots. Drink good water. Eat nutritious food. I am renaming this website ParasitesAndMetalsAndPoo.com. Just kidding.

Round 7, Day 1

Took my IMD scoop this am along with the pumps of etheric vitamin c. Followed that with the Clear Way and the glutathione and the RenTone for the kidneys. Minerals with lunch, and then this afternoon I repeat the IMD. All is well on this front.

I am SO glad I am hitting back those parasites with the turpentine. This was my third day of one teaspoon on sugar cubes, and stuff that happened in the bathroom today from all this parasite-stunning was quite a shocker. But not really because I’ve gone through this type of thing so many times over the years. The trick is to stay with it. Always be on top of it. Dewormers aren’t just for dogs. After that expulsion my whole belly felt lighter. Things felt right.

I’m not completely certain why I have been affected more than the average joe when it comes to these things, but I know that metal toxicity is a huge player here, and I know that Klinghardt and Yu and others can’t stress enough the priority that should be given to deparasitizing. The more you do it the longer you live.

The only thing that troubles me is my left middle finger joint. It is more swollen than normal.

I have LOTS of energy! Am doing sulfur too. Thanks turp.

Day 2 of Round 7 IMD

4th day of turpentine. Still less stiff. Stool darker since started turp. Lots of things coming out. Glad about that.

Day 4 of Round 7

Two interesting developments. I woke up this morning with my right side teeth touching in the best occlusion they have in years. This I think is due to the neck and jaw stretching exercises I did for half an hour last night and the night before. This is very exciting. I will be sure to keep up these exercises daily. Are they affecting facial bone positioning I wonder?

Second, I woke up with what I think is a staph infection on my chin. They look like a small group of pimples. They don’t itch but they look pretty strong. Last night I put apple cider vinegar on the area and that appears to have no effect whatsoever. So I brought out the Mupirocin topical antibiotics that I was prescribed two years ago for a similar situation, on my chin in fact, and will apply this twice a day. I will take apple cider vinegar internally, and figure out which natural antibiotic to take internally. I think that this staph is happening because I’m messing with the metals and bacteria that have thus far been unperturbed.

Also important to note is the tooth upper right second from back has been troubling me a bit. Cavity I think. Clove oil, biting into garlic, lower my sugar intake.

Round 7, Day 6, Off day

Neck so stiff! Betcha it’s a lyme co-infection. I started up the salt c again today with ONE gram.

Staph infection on chin! Third day of it. Am using mucuripin or something as an antibiotic cream. Am hoping it is drying up. Had to teach my yoga class this am with a silly bandaid on my chin, that kept coming off as I was sweating! I got this two summers ago.

Check this out, taken from my 2012 diary re: mercury chelation with dmps being so successful for someone. This woman has written an amazing website about her mercury toxicity experience. Her top improvements are exactly what I’m going for! Although I’m not getting there using DMPS. She wrote:

OK, that’s my tour of the basics of the chemical chelators for mercury. But, who cares about the science and statistics of it all if it doesn’t work… luckily, I can say the use of DMPS has turned my life around. I have been using DMPS for about a year, both orally and intravenously, and from the first dose, I knew this was going to make a big difference. Within two IV’s, that nagging neck pain started getting better. And there was no looking back from there. Here are some of the improvements I have experienced:

(1) my muscles are working a lot better — they’re stronger and more flexible;
(2) I’m not as cold, both in my core and in my hands and feet — my thyroid seems to be working better;
(3) my short-term memory and cognitive ability are hugely improved;
(4) my joints work much better — far less popping and “loose” feelings;
(5) my hair is thicker, stronger, and growing back (slowly) in some of the places I lost it;
(6) I have far less allergies / pain from allergies;
(7) my low back feels so very much better than it used to — it’s not pain-free, but, generally, it rarely hurts;
(8) my fatigue is almost entirely gone now — it’s been a slow process, but I’m back to basically full energy;
(9) I’m much more calm / less anxious;
(10) my heartbeat is “steadier”;
(11) my outlook / sense of optimism is way up;
(12) my sense of well-being is way up;
(13) my blurry vision is gone;
(14) my fibromyalgia / whole-body pain is probably 85-90% gone;
(15) my body feels much, much more relaxed than it did before;
(16) my nasal / eye pain is gone;
(17) my appetite has stabilized — no more hypoglycemia, huge hunger attacks, etc.;
(18) I have excellent exercise capability — amazing strength and endurance, and I can get my heart rate up way higher than I could previously;
(19) my chronic sinusitis is substantially better;
(20) my seborrheic dermatitis is nearly gone after over 15 years;
(21) my skin is more “supple” — it has more color, tans much easier (while I was sick, it would burn quickly), and looks more moist;
(22) I have an easier time swallowing;
(23) I tolerate alcohol much better;
(24) my cravings for sugar are down, although this increases or decreases depending on when I am chelating;
(25) I have more self-confidence and self-esteem;
(26) I enjoy socializing with other people more;
(27) I no longer get eye pain while looking at a computer screen (from ultraviolet light?);
(28) I tolerate all types of foods better (i.e., less food allergies);
(29) I am able to wear contacts much more comfortably, presumably because my eyes are much less dry;
(30) I have more motivation to get things done;
(31) my carpal tunnel symptoms are gone;
(32) while not gone, my floaters are much lighter and, somehow, much more mentally tolerable;
(33) I no longer have an eye twitch in my left eyelid;
(34) I no longer get headaches — at all;
(35) I rarely ever have a sore throat;
(36) I no longer have reflux at all;
(37) I no longer have restless legs syndrome (RLS);
(38) my blood pressure is totally normal again; and
(39) my TMJ problems are gone.

Day 1 of Round 8

This one week round will finish up my second month of the IMD Protocol. I am doing quite nicely. The latest development – a red and angry looking skin lesion on my chin – is actually good news to this experienced detoxer.

I went to the nurse practitioner today after a fourth day of this thing not going away, and she said it was a viral skin infection, herpetic in fact. Shingles, herpes, chicken pox are all types of herpetic sores. Mine looked like it was drying up she said. She gave me a prescription for an oral anti-viral (Valtrex), which I did not fill, and said that if I did nothing it would probably go away within one to two weeks. But that it was a from a systemic cause.

Dr. Larry Wilson, whose program I did for awhile, warns us much about these many viral and bacterial infections inside…and how they can finally make their way outside to leave for good. So, in case you didn’t know, I discovered that earthclinic.com has about a million success stories from people using turmeric on boils and other skin infections. And this is what I’m doing, as well as taking it internally. Yea, turmeric.

I am still following the IMD Quicksilver Protocol word for word. One scoop of IMD mixed with 5 pumps of Etheric Vitamin C in some water in the am, then wait fifteen minutes, then 5 pumps of Etheric glutathioine and ClearWay Cofactors and RenTone. Then breakfast. You know the drill. I have NO mercury redistribution effects from this process.

Next month will be my third month, and I am really looking forward to the 10 day on/4 day off rounds that start happening after the third month. I am ready to go deeper.

Day 4 of Round 8

Stiff and tired and a bit down. Could this be withdrawal from dairy? It does happen to some I read online. Have had two quarts worth of coconut milk/fruit smoothies. I’m not usually tired like this so it’s weird.

Day 5, Round 8

This am I skipped my IMD dose. Just took the Etheric C. Last night didn’t sleep well, and felt like I’m either killing too much stuff, or releasing metals, and this affects sleep and causes hair to fall out, so I skipped it. But I do feel better today than yesterday. Could it have been the curcumin and turmeric I’d taken for a few days to aid in the chin viral infection healing? Or two modifilan? Don’t know, but bought and ate cheese today, which of course I love, and my 30 day dairy-free diet lasted 24 hours.

I want to put more weight on, so if I was doing that by eating milk and ice cream and cheese, then I must be absorbing it, and I enjoy it.

Round 8, Day 7 (Off day)

I am feeling good these last few days. And that’s ON milk. In fact I think my teeth like that I’m back on dairy. Great energy, only 7.5 hours of sleep, sleeping pretty well. Doing lots of things to help out. Let’s see how many I can remember:

Organic sulfur, one tsp/day

The whole IMD protocol

Original Strength exercises for about 5 minutes, twice a day

Yoga daily because I teach it

My chin is healing. Gosh that took a long time. Started infrared lamp on it yesterday.

Turpentine – one tsp twice a week

Today I started colloidal silver, homemade using my Silver Pulser. Makes 5-8 ppm silver. Took one tsp.

Bottoms of feet still tender in am when I first get up. Some say Bartonella. Which is why I started the CS. Am not doing salt/ c though. Can’t manage to take everything!

Tomorrow I start MONTH 3 on the IMD Protocol. It is going well!

Round 9 Day 1

Took a scoop of IMD twice today. Along with the ClearWay, RenTone, C, Glutathione…the works. Got tired today, passed out for 20 minutes (sometimes that’s all your body needs), and realized it was the addition of the colloidal silver that I’ve taken for two days now, killing stuff.

Round 9 Day 1

Colloidal silver can:

  1. kill stuff that you then see in the bathroom
  2. make you a little depressed
  3. make hair fall out

A tricky balance – the metals detox and the parasite cleansing. Diatomaceous earth also always kills stuff.

Round 10, Day 1

Quicksilver Artemisinin with etheric delivery

Quicksilver Artemisinin with etheric delivery

Today I added the liposomal artemisinin for parasites. I got uncomfortable gas soon after I took one teaspoon but thankfully it didn’t last long.  Earlier today I passed out for an hour. Tired!

Round 10, Day 2

Yesterday I took 1.5 tsp of sulfur at around 4pm and man, I couldn’t get to sleep until about 2am. It really keeps me up. Have to take it early in the day.

This morning lots of hair came out  as I washed/conditioned my hair. It is a wonder I have hair left sometimes! I find that when I take an antiparasitic like colloidal silver or diatomaceous earth or now artemesinin, more hair comes out.

On the plus side, lots of energy, and a strong will to get things done.

Round 10, Day 5

The artemisinin – a powerful antiparasitic – is working its fifth day of magic inside me. And I am not seeing much in the bathroom like I have in the past. This is a good sign and means the parasite load has been lessened. Along with the turpentine and occasional diatomaceous earth, the artemisinin makes my inner terrain less hospitable to critters. I’ll continue with it until the jar runs out – maybe another week or so.

Round 11, Day 2

I am happy today. Usually I’m just content, but today I feel happy and so lucky to have all the wonderful things that I have in my life.

The bottoms of my feet are still sore for a few seconds whenever I stand up to walk on them. I am still only taking one gram of sea salt a day. Need to work that amount higher. I am guessing that there are infections that need to be taken care of. The metals detox is just letting them be known more. Have to address both.

Day 4 of Round 11

Skipped this am IMD/Vit C/RenTone/Glutathione dose because I have weird symptoms of increased neck stiffness, sharp foot pain that lasts only a few seconds, poorer memory. And today, a bit of headache/itchy eyes. Lots of aerosol spraying today, terrible. Did do the pm dose of IMD etc though.

The only explanation I can think of for the weird symptoms is the farm homemade cow yogurt having super strong probiotics…(EDIT: Yes, strong probiotics cause this kind of thing to happen in me. One of my readers suggested that it could be because of histamine increase.)

Round 11, Day 5

Took the two IMDs today, unlike yesterday. Feeling more normal now. I checked my 2013 diary and when I had sharp foot pain then it was after taking probiotics. Weirdness.

Am ready to remineralize these next two days. With the Hypertonic.

My neck is REALLY stiff and bad. I’ve been doing the jaw/neck exercises but they don’t make a dent in the stiff neck. Took two salt/c’s today. I’m going to up it again to see what happens. My  temp has been higher lately. Like I get warm flashes now. This is a welcome thing.

Round 11 Day 6, Off Day

Had a great day today. Could be the remineralizing and the break from the detoxing via the IMD, could be the three grams of salt/c I’ve added for probable infections like borellia.  Great energy, great mood, feel lucky. After so many years of not knowing if what I was doing was working or not, here I am knowing that it has all been coming together for a while now: what I eat, which supplements I take, what lifestyle choices I’ve made, etc.

Round 11 Day 7, Off Day

Three grams of salt/c again today, my third day of it. A bit tricky to manage that plus the QS Protocol, but think it’s important for possible lyme or lyme co-infection.

My creaky joints might be due to calcium deposits in the soft tissues, so that will be another reason to try out the EDTA from QS, starting tomorrow. QS says it’s good to add to the program during the second month if you’re doing okay, which I am, and if you’d like to address arsenic, calcium and lead. Plus it has phosphatidyl choline, which Becky from MercuryMadness.org says made her well from mercury toxicity. You have to be sure to take your minerals though, because it can remove things like the good kind of calcium, iron, magnesium and others.

I am sleeping well. I just do these three things: my Original Strength exercises, a few drops of lavender essential oil on my wrists, and a little bit of castor oil in and around my eyes. After years of being a wakeful sleeper, it is nice to sleep through the night.

Please read this relevant interview with Dr. Peta Cohen. Fascinating information about her work with autistic kids, biofilms, and metals pouring out with the right type of treatment.

Day 2 of Round 12

I took a teaspoon of EDTA again this morning along with my IMD and Vitamin C. Later I realized the dosing of the EDTA should be on Days 1, 3 and 5 of the Round, so I will skip two days before taking it again. EDTA removes bad stuff like lead and mercury, but good stuff gets chelated out too, like calcium and other minerals. So you need to be aware and take mineral supplements.

Day 4 of Round 12

Today I took the IMD, the Vitamin C. Then took the glutathione and Clear Way and RenTone. At lunch, I don’ thave the Isotonic Quinton so took trace minerals and a couple of the 650 minerals. Plust three salt/c’s today. And the rest of it.

Saw my electrodermal screening guy on Friday. He says that borrelia and the coinfections are causing the stiff neck. That they have nests of infection and that they actually cause the muscles to contract and be stiff. I had suspected as much. I was bitten by the first tick about three years ago, and this is when the stiff neck started. I will write a post on it. Yes, electrodermal screening works.

Day 5 of Round 12

That’s it! My first three months on the IMD Protocol are finished! For the next two weeks I will remineralize with Quinton Hypertonic, Minerals 650, the trace minerals, and take the ashwaganda as an energy aid. Then, I’ll do my first Intensive Flush – 10 days on, 4 days off. That’s when health problems can really start to reverse, as I understand Chris Shade talk about it. Three cycles in a row, I  guess with two weeks separating each cycle to take remineralizing time. That was a big factor in why my Andy Cutler chelation didn’t go well. I was strippin’ minerals I do believe.

Quicksilver Off Period

Quicksilver Off Period

I am feeling good. Energy is great, I’m sleeping well, my cell phone sensitivity is still minimal, and my body stiffness and finger stiffness are much better. I don’t feel brain-foggy. Plus, I said goodbye to a systemic virus that left via my chin.

Have you tried the Quicksilver Metals Detox Protocol? Let me know! Keep me posted on your progress! I’d love to hear what’s worked for you regarding metals and chemical detoxification.

    Hi Amanda, I love reading about your progress on this protocol! I did 6 months on the Cutler low dose chelation and my adrenals crashed and I had to stop so I might consider this after I complete Nutritional Balancing. Look forward to hearing more about your progress and if retesting shows the metals have moved out!

    • Amanda says:

      Thanks, I’m glad you are finding my notes helpful! I did not do well on Cutler either, even with low doses. Hard to know how low you need to go. I do plan to get a Quicksilver retest at some point. Maybe as you are finding out about how your nutritional balancing program is shaping up! Will keep you posted…

  2. Brian says:

    Hi Amanda

    Great site. I’m VERY interested in your progress on the Quicksilver Mercury Detox. I’m at week 3 myself and easing my way into it, 1 scoop IMD, Lip Vit C, some mineral support stuff and various other general detox stuff – infra red sauna etc. Not added cofactors yet but I will shortly. I’m only 3 week post amalgam removal and got pretty sick after the removal (even though all recommended precautions taken)

    Like you I really liked what Chris Shade has to say, having a science background his approach appealed to me. I did struggle with fact that thousand of folks in the support groups seemed to be following the Cutler approach but Shade’s content won me over in the end. Very interesting you have tried both. I have gotten pretty sick in the last 9 months or so and I think the Cutler protocol would have been too much for me

    My QSS test results were nearly off the charts for inorganic and very low for Methyl ( I don’t eat fish). Its really early days but I am hopeful and really interested to keep up with your progress.

    Oh the whole issues about QSS having RLA in it is concerning me, I notice you mention it a few times. I am using another form of liposomal vit C at the moment but was thinking of switching to the QSS one but a bit concerned about this. All the Cutler stuff seem to say that you should not add ALA until much later and it can do more harm in the early days. Just wondering what your current views on this were. I guess you didn’t notice any string reaction form the QSS Vit C with RLA

    Anyway just touching base and looking forward to updates

    Cheers
    Brian

    • Amanda says:

      Shade’s content won me over as well. The Cutler protocol for me was not gentle enough but I do think there are people who have been helped by it. Everyone needs to go very low and very slow so as not to cause too much retoxification, as you know. Congrats on getting the amalgams out! I got worse after that, like you did. Good you know what to do now.

      I was also concerned about the ALA, but I have no bad effect from it that I can tell. I take the Vit C as directed by the QS protocol. I’m doing six pumps per one scoop of the IMD, twice a day. It’s expensive, but no, I don’t feel bad from the ALA in it, or the ALA in the Clear Way. Which, by the way, I think would be the most important thing for you to add now that you’re on the protocol. Shade really relies on the antioxidant power of the Clear Way.

      Write again and let us know how you are doing!

  3. Brian says:

    Thanks for the reply & I will take your advice and add in Clear Way soon. I have most of the QSS products just being cautious about adding new stuff as I am super sensitive right now, feels like a bit of a balancing act. Do you find the Rentone helps, I should have some arriving today and keen to get started as I think my kidneys are suffering a bit right now, overworked and pretty sore in the morning.
    Also wondering when to add in the artemisinin

    Also been trying to find your magic tea :-) to help in that department but I cant seem to source it here in the UK. I got some essiac tea which has some similar herbs and is doing something but not really helping get rid of stuff.

    How are you getting on? Are you thinking about starting the deeper rounds soon.

    Brian

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Brian,

      Yes I would just follow what Shade lays out in his videos re: what to take. Although my goodness it is on the expensive side. But worth it for sure. I know what you mean about being sensitive. I was too. So it’s smart to go slow and know what is causing what. But if you take the products that he recommends – IMD, Clear Way, Quinton Hyper/Isotonics, Minerals, and RenTone. The RenTone is a big one for us struggling kidney people – this is one way that the mercury tries to come out, and we need to assist it as best we can. Did you your Quicksilver test show need for kidney help? Mine did…see below average excretion from my urine result on the QS test.

      I have a note into the Dr. Miller’s Holy tea people to see if they ship to the U.K. Moving the bowels is HUGE, I can’t overstate it.

      In a week I will start the 10 days on, 4 days off IMD rounds and I’m really looking forward to it! I feel pretty great! And know you can too. Keep us posted.

  4. Brian says:

    Hey thanks Amanda re-the tea. Actually went to their site and placed order and it let me ship international so got some on the way (used your aff link).

    Yeh my urine result looked about the same as yours so kidneys definitely need support. I started the RenTone today. I will add in clear way tomorrow. I think your right about just following the exact protocol but building up slowly.

    So glad to hear that you are feeling great and its very encouraging to think I may not be that far off seeing some benefits. I bet you make some massive gains on the 10 days on 2 off rounds.

  5. Brian says:

    Hi Amanda

    Hope things are going well. You are a fair way into the detox now, are you noticing any specific reactions from the addition of EDTA?

    You were right about adding in the clear way, I was a bit worried about the whole ALA thing but the effects were pretty amazing (I was also on round 5 when I added it). I do think there is some sort of chelation effect form it at least for me. I felt a little spaced out initially for a few days then I had a big increase in energy levels and my mood became very positive whch

    So last week was good, I even got a ton of work done but on my off round days I feel worse. I added in the tea over the weekend and am not doing to well on it. Don’t get me wrong I think the stuff really works. I have had all sorts of reactions and the whole eliminating parasite thing turned from mystical to reality as I started to see some stuff!!!. The problem is I feel completely awful now, terrible mood, pain much worse, no energy etc. I tried lowering the dose but its not helping.

    I know its working and killing stuff off can make you feel bad but I think I need to back off for a bit maybe and come back to it as I need to be able to semi function at the moment. I think mercury has left my digestive system in a real mess more so than I released

    Just wondering if you had any thoughts, did you go through this sort of reaction on the tea initially

    • Amanda says:

      I am glad you started feeling better on the Clear Way. Should make it go easier. I feel yucky on off days too. Not so much the two day-ers but I am now feeling it having been off the ‘On’ program for the last week or so. I do take the ashwaganda for energy, and the Mineral 650’s, and sometimes the Quinton Hypertonic. It’s an expensive program. In fact I’m not sure how to pull the money together for the cycle of ten day On rounds I’d like to do next. I am interested in taking more etheric vitamin C each day, even on Off days now, because I don’t think it’s wise to stop significant C doses abruptly. I wonder what Shade would say about it.

      Maybe the Dr. Miller’s tea is causing lots of things to die and leave and if so then you should start to feel better soon.

      When you feel super yucky, I think you are right in laying off stuff, but making sure you are getting minerals and rest and clearing the bowels. Even a coffee enema twice a week might be great. And hopefully you’re off gluten and gmo’s.

  6. Patricia says:

    Hi Amanda,

    I’m really glad I found your blog, thank you for all the precious information you post here for all of us!
    I have 3 amalgam fillings ( I had many amalgam fillings during childhood and a lot of them would break while I was eating, and I ended up swallowing a lot of them when I was a child) and have been afraid of removing them for a long time, since I have been dealing with adrenal exaustion for the past 10 years and more recently IBS. I have always been trying to get better and stronger to have them removed…but it just never happens. Therefore I decided to look for a practioner that follows Dr. Shade protocol and just do this!
    Would you recommend the holistic md in Colorado that woks with Dr. Shade?
    Thank you and all the best on your journey to health!

    • Amanda says:

      I think it’s great you knew that you needed to feel stronger before getting your amalgams out. Have you watched Chris Shade’s videos yet? They really offer hope. Here’s the first of five parts: http://youtu.be/ZC7Ce2PPl7s

      Yes I would recommend Dr. Shackelton in CO but she’s expensive. Maybe you could call Quicksilver’s office to ask if they have others to recommend as well, if you’d like to spend less $. I think the protocol might be a great option for you because as long as you take the products Shade recommends, like the Clear Way as the antioxidant blend, and the RenTone for kidney support (which is very important because mercury that comes out via urine is hard on the kidneys – one of the mistakes I made during other chelation – not supporting my kidneys), and the other supplements, then you may not feel the mobilization and removing of mercury, which is awesome. And I can personally attest to this. On DMSA I was a wreck, but not on the IMD et al.

      Let us know what you do and how it goes!

  7. Patricia says:

    Thank you for your answer Amanda! It’s very good to have you here, I definitely feel more encouraged to follow this protocol. I found Dr. Shade interviews a few weeks ago and it sounded too good to be true…I never thought I could get rid of mercury without chelation, which always sounded so aggressive to me. You are very brave to have tried it!
    Yes I did watch all of his videos. And I also checked his website for a practitioner here in Florida and I found one who is 4 hours away from me, but since I haven’t been lucky in finding good doctors, I really prefer going to one that’s been recommended. I will call them tomorrow.

  8. Brian says:

    Shame your not feeling great having the break before going into the deeper rounds. Maybe you could try switching up adaptogens for energy, switch to Rhodiola for a bit or something. They work well for me but I do needs to swap them regularly or they lose effect.

    Yeh not sure about the vit C thing although I guess on the ‘off’ days you probably don’t want to be taking the RLA that comes with the QSS vit C. Anyway I hope you feel better when you start back on. Its a very expensive program and I am amazed how quick you get through those little bottles.

    I backed off the tea and things settling a bit although digestion still not great. I do regular coffee enemas and they do help lots. Also been off gluten and doing lots of juicing etc for a while now and supplementing trace minerals etc. Still as confused as ever about diet though – dairy, no dairy etc. I had vega testing done and it doesn’t show me being sensitive to much food wise so thinking of adding in dairy again. I know you have been back and forth on this one also

    Also been reading up on turpentine after seeing you mention it…fascinating!. I have some ordered but will proceed with caution.

    Anyway glad to see other folks finding your blog who are interested in the QSS detox. I love Shades content and the program makes so much sense but it really lacks an on line community aspect so I echo my thanks to you for documenting your experiences to date

    • Amanda says:

      Good point, that Shade’s program is lacking an online community support. Maybe he’ll start one soon. Let us know about the turpentine (make it pure gum spirits). Don’t do more than one teaspoon, drizzled over some sugar cubes. Chew, swallow with water. I felt great afterwards.

  9. Emily says:

    Hi Amanda,

    I recently tested high in mercury in my blood. I had my almagams (several) out about 3 years ago and a subsequent hair test did not show high mercury so I didn’t think it was a problem. I am dealing low thyroid, adrenals, messed up cycles and other weird disturbances that have caused a chronic fatigue-like condition that I’ve been dealing with for about 4 years. I have a good doctor that is trying to help me find the root cause of these problems. To treat Mercury toxicity, my doctor uses some Quicksilver Products along with Chlorella and Cilantro. He created a protocol for me that involves Chlorella, Cilantro (starting very low), QS’s Clearway Cofactors, QS’s EDTA with RLA, Liposomal Glutathione and Garlic. I started very slow and low with this program and with in a week I was dealing with some MAJOR anxiety, aggression, anger and depression. It was awful. My doctor did not give me too much advice other than to take it really slow but I don’t know how to take it any slower than I was! I did some internet research and found Dr. Shade’s experience and understanding to really be unmatched. I was wondering if perhaps he could give me more details on how to tailor his approach for me (what products to add, take away, increase, etc)…Then I came across your blog and discovered that you did a consult with him…Can you tell me how much your hour with him cost? I feel it would be really valuable but I need to figure out if it would be in my budget right now…Thanks for sharing all of your experiences. ~Emily

    • Amanda says:

      Glad to hear some of your story Emily. Thanks for telling us. I think that chlorella and cilantro may be helpful for some, but I have not tried them in many years due to an unease. I hope you stopped them and the symptoms got better? The Clearway is great that you are doing with the program, and glutathione, but I didn’t see the Vitamin C with ala? Shade would probably say that was a big one.

      I paid $175 I think for an hour on the phone with him. Do let us know if you speak with him and what he tells you. You can ask for the phone number from the Quicksilver site’s Contact Form I believe.

      I do know that in the past when I’ve taken too much stuff to either chelate mercury or kill pathogens I can get majorly anxious, angry, depressed, just like you did. So when that happens, I stop most if not all things I’m taking, and then try again. Sometimes one at a time (but the QS protocol usually needs at least 3-4 of the supplements taken together to help each other).

      • Emily says:

        Hi Amanda, Thanks for your response! I did stop the Cilantro and Chlorella and the rest of my protocol for a bit. I restarted with just the QS products I had (Clearway Cofactors and EDTA/RLA) and within two days I was back to the anger/aggression/anxiety/depression. I did more research (watching the QS videos) and saw that the EDTA was for use only after a month or 2 on the protocol and that I was probably was taking too much CC. So…I decided to purchase all of th QS products and just follow the protocol exactly as he outline in the videos and on the PDF you posted. Today is day one of 1/2 scoop IMD, 1 CC, liposomal vit c, liposomal glutathione and quint isotonic. I’m am wondering if I need kidney support now. I didn’t do I urine test for mercury, only blood, I’m not sure how Id find out…Any how, wish me luck, and thanks again!

  10. Carrie says:

    Hi Amanda,

    I recently did the Quicksilver mercury testing, and my results are like yours, but my numbers are higher; methylmercury at 3.77 and inorganic mercury at 0.385. I had 4 amalgams removed 7 years ago, so it’s amazing that my inorganic mercury is in the I only did a simple detox then with some homeopathics and chorella. I’m in that category of perimenopausal heading towards menopause and now I’ve got an autoimmune disease, Sjogren’s Syndrome! My aunt has it too, so I must have the genetics for it. I had hoped I would avoid it by taking care of myself, but never did this type of mercury detox. My acupuncturist and doctor recommended I test for mercury when I was trying to figure out the mysterious health issues I was having. I got the QS and Sjogren’s results about the same time.

    I started the QS protocol about 4 weeks ago. I just did round 4. I have not been able to get through the full 5 days. I’m doing 1 scoop IMD/day, 2 pumps Liposomal Vit C 2x/day, 2 pumps liposomal glutathione 2x/day, and 1 dropper of the IMD homeopathic 2x/day. My acupuncturist does the electro-dermal testing to see which QS products I need. I felt like I was getting the flu on day 5 of round 4. I’m often feeling bad by day 4, and the first week I did it, I wasn’t feeling well after day 3. After reading your journal, I’m thinking of cutting back on the IMD powder to 1/2 a scoop per day, which is 0.05g. My husband has a scale that will actually measure that, so I can be more precise about it. What do you think? Is it the IMD powder that really moves things around and makes you feel crappy, or the other stuff? I need to watch the 5 videos you linked to. Thanks for that tip!

    Oh, and I have scoliosis too. I wore a back brace as a teenager for 4.5 years.

    thanks! Carrie

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Carrie,

      That is so interesting you also had scoliosis. It seems to be a recurring theme with metal-toxic women. When I was visiting the healthboards where Andy Cutler’s mercury detox protocol was discussed a lot, I found many women there who had had scoliosis.

      I know that Dr. Shade often starts people off on 1/2 scoop. Maybe even the first two rounds like that. Get through it without too much trouble, using the products you mentioned, PLUS the Clear Way. I think he says that the Clear Way is a non-negotiable part of the protocol. It well help you not feel the mobilization.

      Definitely watch the videos. They will inspire you to continue.

      Also, have you ever treated for parasites? They are a big part of the picture often as well. I know they are in my picture!

      Good luck and keep us posted!

  11. Carrie says:

    Oops, typo in the last comment. It should say, “it’s amazing that my inorganic mercury is so high.”

  12. Steven e says:

    I started out too fast with one scoop IMD and started iodine at the same time. I had to stop and decided to go with the iodine for a while first. Iodine has been a mixed bag for me. Some amazing results t times. More energy, much better sleep, way more dreams, started losing weight, and experiencing unusual feelings of well being. But it hasn’t stuck so far and does not seem to be predictable, though it is definitely doing stuff. I’ll probably mess with iodine for a while longer and then try the shade protocol again, but more slowly and following closer to the protocol. I have gut inflammation, and think I would do better on the the quicksilver protocol if I could address that, but it’s hard to know where to start.

    Have you looked at Gohkale method for posture stuff? It really seems to work and has taught me what good posture actually is. Since the core of the method is how you lie, sit, walk, move and carry yourself, it’s a more holistic approach than most things like that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtQ1VqGGU74

    Thanks and keep updating us, it’s much appreciated. There are very few people out there writing about their experience with this protocol.

    • Amanda says:

      Thanks Steven, great post/topics. I tried iodine too. Didn’t give it the longest time, but did work up gradually, and did see positives like increased warmth. I love it when something gives me dreams as well! It’s been years of not remembering them at all. I’m sure you’ve read Brownstein’s book and others. For gut inflammation, I’d say try a protocol like Dr. Campbell-Mcbride’s (the GAPS diet) but it is intense for sure.

      Dr. Shade does mention looking at two things as an addendum to his Quicksilver Protocol: parasites and food allergies. Some think one causes the other. I am currently seeing if this is the case. Hulda Clark said this. And now Kerri Rivera – who is healing kids with autism (whose guts are of course a complete mess) – is teaching parents this as well. The parasites must go. I will write about chlorine dioxide soon.

      I have seen Gohkale before through Mercola but never really listened to her – now I have downloaded your link and can’t wait to watch it. I loved her first picture in the presentation of the sleeping baby in a car seat. Yup, we are in different (not so helpful) times and situations then we humans used to be.

      Keep us posted on your iodine and IMD research!

  13. Alex says:

    Hey Amanda,

    Very insightful post! Thanks for sharing this.

    I have been doing a tweaked version of the quicksilver scientific detox..I’ve been detoxing heavy metals for a year now so I consider myself a little more advanced..The first few times I tried the IMD I didn’t really feel anything but once I started taking about 6-10 full scoops a day I started noticing tremendous benefits…I also take it along with the Glutathione (GSH) & R-ALA by LivOn Labs/Lypricel as I found it to be more effective, along with NAC, MSM and a few other things.

    The one thing that really helps me during the detox when my body gets stressed is: 1- rubbing magnesium oil topically all over my body and most importantly: 2- doing the salt water flush: drinking about 1-3 full tablespoons of pure unrefined sea salt first thing in the water mixed in with half to a full liter of spring water..That will flush ALL the toxins out and give your whole body a reset..I try to do that everyday or as often as I can and its effects on my quality of my life has been HUGE…

    It’s interesting though what you said about being more comfortable with contacts, because I noticed that as well and noticed that my eyes start getting irritated again whenever I’m not taking glutathione (GSH)…I never really liked contacts and always hated wearing them, now I can sleep in my contacts for weeks without even noticing them…what a difference.

    I do recommend though that you start experimenting with higher doses…I now take 10-15 packets of LiVon Labs glutathione a day which is probably the equivalent of 2 full bottles of QuickSilver’s glutathione and I’m noticing serious improvements with such a dose..I would take more but that’s the most I can tolerate…I spend insane amounts on detoxification but so far it has been my best investment ever…Keep it up!

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Alex,

      Thanks so much for your messsage. Sounds like you are doing great on the IMD, glutathione and R-ALA! I guess it’s all about how much you take to feel it working well for you. How great you have the $$ to pay for it! Most can’t do that as you know but I am very happy you are feeling so good on it, and that you took the time to share your experience. That’s why I started this website.

      I have done salt flushes before, and yes they do clean you out. I might try it again now. 1-3 full tbsp in 2-4 cups of water is mucho but if that’s what it takes then alright! I have found Modifilan to be helpful for elimination as well, but the sea salt is way cheaper.

      I would love to know what Chris Shade says about the high IMD etc doses. I bet he’d say go for it if it makes you feel good. I remember from his videos that he used quite high doses of the ClearWay with many patients to great effect, including his son whose warts finally disappeared. Did you experiment with the ClearWay?

      Keep us posted on your progress!!

      • Alex says:

        Hey Amanda,

        Yeah it’s great. I actually have an average income but I cut out a lot of expenses and placed detox and diet as my top investments/expenses…I got to a level of bliss after the first 3-4 months of detox where I was just happy doing nothing and just sitting around all day, which was impossible in the past as I always used to be depressed/suicidal and needed a lot of outside stimulation and action to keep me happy, so for someone like me to see such a drastic change I was convinced that detox is where I should invest first and foremost.

        If I remember correctly, I believe there was a video somewhere where Dr. Klinghardt said that he uses around 12 scoops a day of microsilica or IMD sometimes for some of his severe-case patients. Do you notice that detox symptoms get a lot more intense when you’re on the IMD (anger, depression, fatigue, etc.) I got the impression that it is supposed to lessen the detox reactions but it seems to actually be intensifying the whole detox process, especially when taken in higher doses, which is great in the long-term but makes you feel dead in the meantime.

        I haven’t tried clearway cofactors yet but I get most of the ingredients in it individually from high quality brands in higher concentrations and I feel that is a better way to go about it. I also try to include things like kelp and kelp soups in my diet as often as possible. I read a few comments here about iodine. Iodine is huge for pulling out toxins and heavy metals if you get the right kind and brand, and I feel it works synergistically with IMD and GSH so it would be a smart idea to add it with the quicksilver program and start slow, same goes for MSM, magnesium oil, selenium, and NAC.

        I also saw serious improvements just from changing my diet, maybe even as serious as the detox. Just cutting all sugar alone (fruits and otherwise) has made a dramatic impact on my emotional and psychological state and my outlook on life. The thing about conventional and processed foods is that they are loaded with heavy metals and/or other toxins, especially things like conventional dairy, bread, wheat, canned foods, etc., even store-bought fruits and vegetables (there is a video by Dr. Shade where he talks about how one of his vegan patients couldn’t get her heavy metal load down because she was eating too many leafy greens), so it would be kind of a waste to do a detox without changing the diet to avoid more toxins getting into the body…I try to research what I eat for heavy metals and toxins and get the cleanest options whenever I can…also, sugar feeds all the parasites and bad guys so I feel it would be smart to cut it during a detox to prevent feeding them…I tried to include a detailed list of the most nutritious and healthiest foods that I know of on my blogs here: http://thesupermandiet.com/diet and http://thesupermandiet.com/how-to-lose-weight

        I tried modifilan in the past but stopped using it after the heavy metals report from Natural News by Mike Adams. I believe it turned out that it had some heavy metals in it. It also wasn’t as effective as other things for me personally. So far water and salt have been the best thing for elimination that I found…it may be hard to do 1-3 tbps the first time but you can take as much as you can and dilute it as much as you need with water, and slowly work your way up until you get used to it…also, I found an herb called Red Root by Eclectic Institute to be amazing for elimination and moving the lymphatic system.

    Amanda,
    Are you going to continue on with the quicksilver protocol?
    Do you think it helped you any?
    I have been sick my whole life from something? At age 22 I had all my amalgams improperly removed not knowing they contained Mercury (1986) and after that became bed ridden and have stayed that way for 29 years. I have tried a depress cutlers protocol and became much worse each time. I lose my hair too when I chelate and this is very distressing.
    I am just starting imd and clear factors and hope you will continue to post about your experiences.
    I have spent 100’s of thousands of dollars trying to get well over the decades. This is a very sad way to live.
    Thank you,
    Threasa Lynn

      Hi Theresa,

      I would continue it if there were more funds available. I did see promising things and still do like Shade’s work. I am looking at repairing thyroid right now using Ray Peat’s research again.

      I am sorry to hear of your story; it is similar to so many of ours, sadly. But don’t stop trying. We are all on a journey, and it is up to each of us to find our way, slowly but surely, and use that knowledge to help others as best we can, I think. I know how expensive and frustrating it is. We just do our best. I am praying for you and sending you healing energy Theresa. You can and will get better!

    Amanda,
    it is so sad trying to get well is so expensive. The markup on most supplements is really criminal. I can’t afford the protocol either for long: especially when you get up to 3 scoops a day of IMD. Have you tried making liposomal C and glutathionine? That is what I plan on doing. I have been taking reduced glutathioinine sublingually: I hold the powder from a capsule in my mouth and it eventually becomes very liquidy. I continue to hold it for about 10 minutes and eventually it loses its taste. I am hoping that means i have uptaken a lot of it through my mucosal membrane.
    I wish I could afford to help you continue. I am on disability. Your writing is wonderful and funny at times too. I still like you even though you are missing a front tooth. I have one with a root canal I think will fall out soon too. Probably for the best since it has a root canal.
    I do not know what ray pete’s protocol is but from what I have read and tried I do not think we will get any better over the long run unless we can somehow get the mercury out of us.
    I am thinking of taking IMD along with a very low dose schedule of Andrew Cutlers protocol. I think taking the cofactors at the same dosage schedule as you would ala would be helpful as well. So I am adding IMD Cofactors to Andrew Cutlers protocol and going to make my own liposomal C and Glutathionine. Do you have any thoughts on that? It would be much cheaper :)
    Thank you for sharing with others. If i knew how to write a blog I would too but my mind does not work very well anymore and I am too fatigued to keep up anyway.
    Best wishes.
    Lynn

      I think making your own liposomal vitamin c is a great idea and is one of the things I’d like to try! And glutathione – a quality brand like Shade’s – made me feel better. I don’t know about mixing Shade’s and Cutler’s protocol though. Cutler’s is tricky because many people thing they’re going low enough on the dosages, and then after a little while it adds up and they feel worse, so be careful. Thanks for your nice words about my blog! I am so glad you like reading it. For vitamin c, check out Patrick Timpone’s interview with Troy Hyyppa. Sounded interesting: http://oneradionetwork.com/health/troy-hyyppa-making-liposomal-vitamin-c-at-home-april-7-2015/

      I think it’s great if the root canal tooth comes out!

      Keep fully breathing and know it will be okay!

    Good Morning Amanda,

    I hope all is well.

    I am hoping you can provide some insight on where to purchase the Christopher Shade IMD 3 month protocol. I am not looking to go through a naturopath, as the ones in my area are sketchy and tend to rip me off… which is rather unfortunate really. Recently I found a Dr in California who sells the 3 month Cube online (http://www.allenbonilla.com/product/quicksilver-scientific-detox-qube-3-month-supply/)

    I am wondering if you could provide a reliable source to purchase the IMD online, or if you think the source I have found is good. Also, due to the price of this protocol, I am curious if you know of a source with a better price!

    Would greatly appreciate your response and insight.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    PS -Happy Memorial Day!

    PS2 – I just bought some of the Dr Miller’s Tea to try before purchasing the IMD, to see if the tea works wonders on my bowel movements. I have tried an AIP diet for the past 4-5 months, and only recently have started re-introducing certain foods in moderation. Funny thing is, though, despite the AIP diet, and VERY HIGH amounts of leafy greens that I consume DAILY, my bowel movements have gotten worse. In fact, when I ate grains, oats, dairy, etc, my bowels were amazing… Easy to pass, uniform, one piece, clean, etc. I thought that aside from only going once a day, I had the prime example of bowel movements. Then… I switched to an even cleaner diet, and my bowel movements are infrequent, hard to pass, chunky, broken, not good :\ So, I am hoping this tea works!!!

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Brad,

      I bet the tea will help a lot. It did for me. I’m glad you wrote about what you’re eating, and which foods cause which bowel situation, because I have been doing the Ray Peat thing for the past five weeks or so and I no longer need supplements or Dr. Miller’s tea to help me in that department. I eat eggs, milk, oj, coconut oil, sugar, gelatin, egg shell calcium, pastured meats, some veggies, NO grains, but yes ice cream. I have been cold my whole life and this diet makes me warmer, improves my elimination, and raises my pulse from that of a dead cold person. So, of course I won’t tell you what to eat, but check out my posts on the Ray Peat way of life. I am due to write another one soon.

      When I did the Quicksilver protocol I got most everything from MHP: http://www.mhpvitamins.com/id154.html. Nice to deal with, helpful with questions. That link you sent looks good, I’d just have to do the math to compare prices to MHP. But MHP can also hook you up with a practitioner who’s worked with Shade, I believe. And if they don’t, then the QS site can. Just email them.

      Let us know what and how you do!!

        Hi Amanda,

        Thanks for all the work you did for this post! Very helpful.

        What is the Ray Peat thing?

        • Amanda says:

          Thanks! Ray Peat is a health/diet/biochemistry researcher who has different ideas from most on which foods are the most helpful, especially for thyroid function. Milk, cheese, tropical fruits, ice cream, are some of the foods that come to mind…which is one reason I love him.

          Have you done the IMD protocol?

  17. Jenny says:

    Hi, I just started the quicksilver detox and came upon your site. Just wanted to see if I could get an update on how your feeling since the last post was in 2015. Thanks

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Jenny and Eddie,

      I stopped the Quicksilver. Though I saw benefits, the protocol requires the whole system of supplements, and that gets super expensive. I have no doubt that it does what Shade describes, but it’s a lot of $$ month after month. What QS products are you taking, and have you noticed benefit thus far? Today I am focusing on chlorine dioxide and ocean water and homemade sauerkraut…

  18. Kristen says:

    Hi Amanda,

    I just started Dr. Shade’s detox cube and now I’m exhausted, like crazy tired after 4 days. Is this a normal reaction as far as you know?

    Thanks,

    Kristen

  19. KAT says:

    Hi Amanda! I love your blog. Could you tell me if you had to continue doing any other sort of mercury detox after the full detox qube protocol was over? Were you able to retest right after that, or did you have to wait?
    <3

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Kat, thank you! I did the Quicksilver a few times but couldn’t keep up the post. I also got lured by other ideas and therapies..you know how that is! I never retested, but that would be awesome to have before and after numbers. I’m researching the niacin/sauna detox now. I do know that sweating out toxins is always helpful. Have you had success clearing out some toxic metals?

  20. Jane says:

    Hi Amanda,

    Thanks for taking the time to write your posts which are very interesting. Like yourself and the other contributors I suffer with health issues that I suspect have a mercury element. I’ve recently been looking at Chris Shade’s protocol; however I am a little reluctant to start due to the cost. I see that this has influenced your decision not to continue and the question I have is this; Do you think what you did do was worth it? In terms of the expense that you have already laid out, has it made any significant difference to your symptoms/life? Were any gains lost once you stopped?

    I guess we all take different amounts of time and other factors will influence how we heal; however I’ve already spent shed loads of money on supplements etc and on food; (which I believe help me to maintain a level of function) so don’t want to end up feeling like I’ve wasted even more on the QS protocol; which is alarmingly expensive. Do you know how much you were spending a month on QS?

    Really appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks and best wishes
    Jane

    • Amanda says:

      Hi Jane, thanks for your question. I think it might take $2000 worth of QuickSilver products to get you through 3-4 months, depending on how slowly you up your IMD usage, which of the ‘extra’ recommended supplements you buy, and how fast you go through the liposomal glutathione. I don’t regret it or any therapy I’ve done, because they all have helped me learn. Here is a theme that has evolved for me: minerals are key. I know the Shade protocol factors that in, but over the years with all of my health attempts, I have not. Chelating/detoxing takes up large amounts of minerals, and I can feel it. Say for example, my tooth aches when I detox and have some orange juice. That extra sugar makes me know what’s going on. Takes years to get to this self-knowledge – at least it has for me. So make sure you’re getting those minerals!

      I think if you can pay for three months’ worth of the QS, and really do it as he lays out, going slowly, then you should feel better after that time. Just do your best and reassess after three months whether you want to continue.

      And I will soon be posting about something that helps not only your health, but your wealth and general lust for life (video below). It’s all about letting go, and paying attention to what you want, and not what you don’t. When you relax about the subjects that claim so much of our thoughts, inspiration comes, we know which action to take, and we feel better and better.

      Please keep us posted Jane!

    Can anyone give me some advice/their experience of IMD? I’m considering adding it to my detox programme,
